I am from Tahiti, French Polynesia in my second year at McGill. I always liked the way colors and lines could intertwine to depict the motion surrounding us. Hence, I wanted to illustrate the Chinese lunar new year by portraying the movement of the water surrounding a swimming Tiger, that reminded me of the waves from the island I come from.
Orientations is a student-run and peer-reviewed journal offering transcultural perspectives on a wide variety of topics related to East Asia, such as language, literature, history, culture, art & cinema, religion and activism.
